Prof. Sonia Longo is an associate professor at the Department of Engineering, University of Palermo, Italy. She has a M.Sc in Environmental Engineering and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics. She has participated in national and international research projects and the research activities of the International Energy Agency. Her main research interests are eco-design and life cycle assessment, circular economy, energy and environmentally extended input-output models, energy planning, sustainable building, Net Zero Energy Buildings and Districts. She is the author of more than 200 papers for conferences, and national as well as international journals. She is the coordinator of the working group of the Energy and Sustainable Technologies—Association Italian LCA Network and she was co-subtask leader of the dell’Annex 72 IEA EBC “Assessing life cycle related environmental impacts caused by buildings”.
