Prof. Dr. Flavia Franconi

Flavia Franconi is a Full Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Sassari, Italy, and supervisor of a Ph.D. in Gender Pharmacology at Sassari University. She belongs to several national advisory boards: the National Toxicological Committee, Research and Drugs Gender Guidelines, Menopause Guidelines, Women Health Committee of the Health Minister; the Committee “Valutazione Piani di Settore” of the Italian Drugs Agency; and the Regional Advisory Board: Sardinian Drug Committee. She is the coordinator of the Gender Group of the Italian Pharmacological Society and was appointed to the advisory board of the Centre for Biotechnology Development and Biodiversity Research, University of Sassari, Consorzio Interuniversitario Biostrutture e Biosistemi (INBB). She is the Vice President of the Società Italiana per la Salute e la Medicina di Genere (Italian Society of Gender Health and Medicine). She acts as a reviewer for Alcohol and Alcoholism, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Archives of Medical Research, British Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Diabetologia, European Journal of Nutrition, Food and Chemical Toxicology IUBMB Life, Life Science, and Pharmacological Research.
