Prof. Dr. Jonatas Bussador do Amaral has a degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Estadual Paulista, and a PhD in Cell and Tissue Biology from the University of São Paulo. He works as a Biologist at the Otorhinolaryngology Research Laboratory, ORL-CCP/Federal University of São Paulo. He has experience in studying tumor cell biology, mainly involving the development of three-dimensional cell cultures. He has published important works that explore different types of microscopy, reconstruction, and 3D animations. Within the field of otorhinolaryngology, he develops cell culture models for studies related to tensegrity, interactions between cells and the extracellular matrix, and inflammatory processes. He is currently developing his post-doctoral work related to sudden sensorineural hearing loss, and evaluating the roles of viral reactivation, inflammation, and cellular immunity in the progression of this disease.
