Information

María Carmen Ruiz-Abellón received her Ph.D (with distinction) and M.Sc degrees in Mathematics from the University of Murcia (Spain) in 2002 and 1998, respectively. Since 2007, she has collaborated in studies related to the analysis of time series. Her main research lines include the analysis of time series, models for load forecasting (long, medium and short term), machine learning and clustering. In 2011, she started her collaboration in the field of entropy measurements and their applications in time series. At the same time, she has collaborated with researchers of other fields such as computing, medicine or the environment, which have led to several research articles. She has participated in more than 10 competitive research projects (responsible researcher in 2 of them) and 7 R&D contracts with different companies (responsible researcher in 5 of them). Since her beginnings as a researcher in 2000, she has published more than 30 papers in JCR journals, which have been cited in more than 500 documents (h-index=14, Scopus), and she has presented more than 40 communications to national and international conferences.
