Yulia A. Griber is a professor of sociology and philosophy at the Smolensk State University, Russia. She graduated from the Smolensk State University in linguistics and from the University of Hagen, Germany, in sociology. She obtained her Ph.D. in philosophy at Moscow State Pedagogical University; her post-doctorate degree in cultural studies is from Saint-Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts, Russia. The research of Prof. Griber focuses primarily on color in culture and color in an urban environment. Since 2012, she has been a member of the International Colour Association (AIC). Since 2019, Prof. Griber has been President of the Russian Color Society and co-editor of the Proceedings of the Russia Color Society.
