Etsuro Ito is a Professor at the Department of Biology, Waseda University, Japan. He received his PhD in biophysics from the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Waseda University. Prior to his current position, he was an Associate Professor at Hokkaido University (1993–2006) and Professor at the Tokushima Bunri University (2006–2016). In addition, Etsuro Ito served as Vice President of the Biophysical Society of Japan (2010–2011) and President of the International Society for Invertebrate Neurobiology (2011–2015). His research interests include learning and memory and ultrasensitive measurements of proteins.
