Weishuo Fang graduated from Peking Union Medical College and was awarded his Ph.D. in 1997. After two years of postdoctoral study at Florida State University, USA, he started his independent career at the Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and has since been promoted to Professor. The major theme of his research lab is medicinal chemistry and the chemical biology of bioactive natural products.
