Michele Mussap is a medical doctor (M.D.), and, currently, he is a senior lead consultant at the University of Cagliari. Michele Mussap is a laboratory medicine specialist (clinical pathology), and he was the head of a great clinical laboratory (Laboratory Medicine Service, Genova, Italy) from 2006 to 2018. Between 1898 and 2006, Michele Mussap worked as a biological scientist and then as a medical doctor at the Laboratory Medicine Service at the University-Hospital of Padua (Italy). Over the last 15 years, Michele Mussap has focused his interests and efforts almost exclusively on metabolomics and precision medicine, with a special interest in the application of the metabolomic approach by NMR, GC-MS, and LC-MS analysis of biological fluids in the perinatal and pediatric age ranges, as well as in nephrology. Currently, there are 165 articles cited in the PubMed database and 198 articles cited in the Scopus database, publications with an h-index of 37 (Scopus, 10 November 2023). He has been invited to speak in hundreds of national and international conferences.
