Emil Bulatov is Associate Professor and group leader at the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology, Kazan Federal University (KFU), Russia. He received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge in 2015, where he specialized in the molecular mechanisms regulating protein homeostasis. Emil’s work integrates protein biochemistry, structural biology, molecular and cell biology, and rational drug design. In recent years, his research has expanded to translational oncology and advanced immunotherapies, including CAR-T cell engineering, cell-free therapeutic modalities, immuno-oncology, and autoimmunity applications. His projects combine fundamental mechanistic studies with drug discovery and therapeutic platform development, bridging basic research with clinical-oriented innovation.
