Prof. Dr. Shivaprakash M. Rudramurthy is currently working as a full Professor in Medical Microbiology at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. He received his MD in Medical Microbiology from Mysore Medical College & Research Institute, Mysore, India in 1997. He completed his Ph.D. from Radboud University, Nijmegen, in 2020. He is exclusively working on fungal infections and published >250 articles in this area in leading peer-reviewed international journals. His research topics mainly include fungal infections; mucormycosis; aspergillosis; dermatophytosis; anti-fungal resistance; and molecular diagnosis of fungal infections.
