Claudia Sala obtained her PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology at the University of Milan (Italy). She worked as a post-doctoral fellow in the laboratories of Prof. Stewart Cole at the Pasteur Institute in Paris first and then at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, where she took active part in several research projects, including functional genomics and investigations of the M. tuberculosis Type VII Secretion System. She is currently Senior Scientist at Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences in Siena (Italy) where she leads research projects focused on monoclonal antibody discovery against antibiotic resistant bacteria.
