Prof. Gabriel Ascanio obtained a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Montreal Polytechnique School (Canada). He is currently a full researcher and professor at UNAM in Mechanical Engineering and a member of the Mexican Academy of Engineering. Prof. Gabriel Ascanio was responsible for the Program of Graduate Studies in Engineering at UNAM. As an invited professor, he spent a 2-year leave in Fresenius-Kabi Deutschland (Germany). Prof. Gabriel Ascanio has served as a consultant for international companies such as Fresenius-Kabi Deutschland (Germany), Total Petrochemicals USA, and Sumitomo (Japan). Prof. Gabriel Ascanio has served as a reviewer for top journals, including Chemical Engineering Research and Design, AIChE Journal, Chemical Engineering Science, and Biochemical Engineering Journal, among others. Currently, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Research and Technology.
