Dr. Giovanni Rizza is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management and Production Engineering (DIGEP), Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He received his Ph.D. in Management, Production, and Design from Politecnico di Torino in 2023. His research focuses on additive manufacturing, with particular emphasis on Powder Bed Fusion with Electron Beam (PBF-EB) technology. His work spans process development, numerical modelling, and experimental characterization, addressing topics such as powder-bed thermal behaviour, preheating modelling, dimensional accuracy, surface integrity, and process optimization for titanium alloys, particularly TiAl-based materials. Since 2019, he has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed journal articles and international conference papers in the field of additive manufacturing.
