Silviu Marian Nastac is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Engineering and Agronomy Faculty in Braila and Head of the Research Center for Mechanics of Machines and Technological Equipment—MECMET, “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati, Galati, Romania. He is also an associate professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, “Transilvania” University of Brasov, Brasov, Romania. He is a certified scientific researcher at the Research Institute for Construction Equipment and Technologies—ICECON SA, Bucharest, Romania. He is a member of the following international professional societies: IIAV, ASME, GAMM, IAENG, EUROMECH, and IACM, and also national professional societies: SRA, SRMTA, ARTENS, and AROTEMA. His research interests include computational mechanics, acoustics and vibration, experimental techniques, and virtual instrumentation.
