Dr. Ali Farajpour is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Adelaide
Medical School, University of Adelaide, Australia. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide in 2021. He
has worked on the mechanics of different types of materials at various
scales, particularly small-scale biological components. In July 2021, he
joined the Adelaide Medical School as a postdoctoral researcher, where
he is gaining practical experience in applying poroelasticity modeling
to breast cancer biology for clinical applications. His current research
involves the development of a cell-sensitive mathematical model of
poroelasticity integrated with machine learning for elastography
biomedical imaging. His research field focuses on biological
mathematics, biomechanics, data science, machine learning, and computer
vision.
