Dr. Antonio Mancini graduated in Medicine in 1979 and obtained post-graduated specialties in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, and Andrology. He won the competition for clinical researcher at the Catholic University, Rome, Italy, in 1988 and currently is an Adjunct Professor in Endocrinology at this university. He is a Professor in the Post-Graduate Schools of Endocrinology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Respiratory Diseases and in the Degree Course for Dieticians. He is a member of the Endocrine Society (since 1989), the European Academy of Andrology, the European Neuroendocrine Association, and the International Society of Psychoneuroendocrinology. He was previously a member of the Bioethic Center Directive Board of Catholic University and Consultant of the Center for Study on Natural Family Planning of the same university. He has authored over 160 papers in impact journals, and is an editor of “Anorexia nervosa: a multidisciplinary approach” (Nova Science Pub, USA, 2010) and “Adult growth hormone deficiency: pathophysiological and clinical aspects” (Minerva Medica, Torino 2020). He has been a topic editor for “International Journal of Molecular Science” and has been the lead guest editor of Special Issues for “Frontiers in Endocrinology”. His research interests are oxidative stress in male infertility; pituitary disorders; eating disorders; and metabolic syndrome.
