Prof. Dr. Xuebin Qin received an MD from Wannan Medical College, Wuhu, China in 1986, and an MS from Tongji Medical University, Wuhan, China in 1991. He obtained his PhD from Peking Union Medical College & Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing, China in 1996. Prof. Qin's research focuses on defining the role of innate immunity including complement system and monocyte activation in the pathogenesis of human diseases, such as HIV infection, HIV-associated cardiovascular diseases, and on developing a novel cell ablation research tool for broad scientific applications.
