I am currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Botany, School of Life Sciences, Mizoram University, India. I attained my Ph.D. degree in Botany from the Department of Botany, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, India, in 2016. I utilize integrated approaches using phenology, physiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology to understand the mechanism of plant response to global climate change. I have published papers in reputed international journals such as Environmental Pollution, Science of the Total Environment, Field Crops Research, Journal of Agronomy and Crop Science, Protoplasma, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, BMC-Plant Biology, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, Plant Science, etc. I have received academic awards including the best student presentation award at the 46th North American Air Pollution workshop (2014), Mexico, Best poster award (Plant Sciences-2015) of Indian Science Congress, and Young Scientist Award in National Conference of Plant Physiology-2016 (supported by ICAR, India). I am a life member of the Plant Sciences Section of the Indian Science Congress and an expert member of the Agro-ecosystem Specialist’s group, IUCN-CEM (2017-2020). My area of expertise includes plant stress physiology.
