Dr. Andrea Henriques-Pons currently serves as a Senior Researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz). She received her bachelor’s degree in Genetics (1990), master’s degree in Biophysics (1995), and Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000). She obtained her postdoctoral degree in stem cell biology from Children’s Hospital in Washington DC. Her research keywords include liver immune response, Trypanosoma cruzi infection, flow cytometry, inflammation, myocarditis, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
