George D. Vavougios graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras in 2010 and was board-certified as a clinical neurologist in 2020. In 2015, he obtained his PhD with distinction from the University of Thessaly. He completed his post-doctoral studies with distinction at the University of Thessaly in 2021. He is a visiting lecturer at the Department of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Cyprus. His research interests mainly focus on neuroinflammation, infection, epigenetics, sleep, and omics.
