Professor Wen is a doctoral supervisor at the State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy, Central South University. He has long been engaged in applied basic research on polymer-derived ceramics, high-temperature ceramic matrix composites and electromagnetic wave-absorbing materials. He has presided over multiple projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has been invited to serve as a reviewer for several journals, such as Science, J. Am. Ceram. Soc., and J. Euro. Ceram. Soc. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers, with more than 2,000 citations.
