Aria Dolatabadian received a Masters degree in Agronomy in 2008. In 2015, he moved to Australia to pursue a PhD in Crop Genetics and Genomics. Aria's responsibilities have spanned a wide range of fields, from his early career as a technical officer at the Western Australian Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) to his current role as a Research Fellow at the Batley Laboratory at the University of Western Australia (UWA). His main research interest lies in uncovering the mysteries of plant–pathogen interactions, with a particular focus on disease resistance in Brassica plants. Currently, as a researcher in the Batley Laboratory at the University of Western Australia, he is fully committed to a project aimed at identifying and exploring genes associated with blackleg resistance in Brassica plants.
