Priyan Mendis obtained his Ph.D. from Monash University in Australia. He is currently a professor at the Department of Infrastructure Engineering through the University of Melbourne. He is also the Deputy Director of the ARC Industry Transformation Research Hub—Transformation of Reclaimed Waste Resources to Engineered Materials and Solutions for a Circular Economy (TREMS). He worked as a Consulting Engineer before joining the University in the early 1990s. He is also a member of several institutions, including the Institution of Engineering, the Concrete Institute of Australia, and the American Concrete Institute. His scientific output includes 373 publications, corresponding to 9076 citations (h-index 50) (Scopus, 7 November 2023).
