Dr. SHIVAPRASAD KV presently working as a Researcher in the Department of Engineering of Durham University, UK since November 2019. Prior to this, he worked as a Research Associate at Sir Joseph Swan Centre for Energy Research, Newcastle University. He served as As. Professor for 2 years and 4 months at Dilla University Ethiopia Africa> He is working as a teaching faculty in Bearys Institute of Technology, Mangalore India since 2015. Shivaprasad received his doctoral degree from the NITK, Surathkal India, in 2015. He graduated from Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan in Mechanical Engineering, and the post graduated from NMAMIT Nitte in Energy systems engineering. The research Shivaprasad is undertaking now, and planning could have significant non-academic impacts worldwide. His research interests focus on engine combustion, free-piston engine generator, decarbonising energy, hydrogen economy. His technical expertise to overcome tactical challenges such as hydrogen production cost relative to existing high carbon fuels and technological uncertainty to produce and use hydrogen. Shivaprasad’s knowledge of electrolyser-enabled hydrogen production and combining renewable energy production with existing power systems will be helpful in achieving the hydrogen economy. His active engagement in research has resulted in many publications and shaped the field's development. He has authored/co-authored over20 journal publications, 9 conference proceedings and 2 book chapters
