Dr. Ramón Garduño-Juárez is a Professor of Biophysics at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He is a Biochemical Engineer with a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences and the Morelos Academy of Sciences. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at NASA Ames Research Laboratories. He was a Guest Scientist at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, NY, Cornell University, and Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Spain. His research lines involve molecular dynamics simulations of chiral selectivity by cyclodextrins, molecular dynamics simulations of antimicrobial peptides leading to pore formation on model biological membranes, and membrane-bound proteins like ionic channels.
