Alessia Perego has been an associate professor in Field Crops and Experiments at the University of Milan since 2020. She received her Ph.D. in Agroecology and master's degree in Agricultural Science at the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, University of Milan. She has expertise in modeling and monitoring agro-environmental variables (crop yield, nitrate leaching, ammonia and nitrous oxide emissions, soil organic carbon) in conventional and conservation agriculture. Her research activity mainly concerns the experimental and modeling evaluation of the agronomic management of cropping systems and the strategies that can be implemented to minimize their impact on the agroecosystem.
