Dr. Zhengxiao Zhang is an associate professor at the College of Ocean Food and Biological Engineering, Jimei University. Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. from Manchester Metropolitan University and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Manitoba and the University of Alberta. His research focuses on gaining a mechanistic understanding of environmental and dietary influences on host--microbe interactions in order to design effective therapies to treat human disease based on manipulation of the microbiome. Recently, Dr. Zhang’s lab has published numerous research works in notable journals such as Nature Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Cell Host & Microbe.
