Prof. Dr. Andrey K. Gorshenin is the Principal Researcher and Head of the Department "Probabilistic Modeling and Statistical Analysis of Complex Systems" at the Federal Research Center "Computer Science and Control" of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as the Full Professor at the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies. He was awarded the Candidate of Sciences degree in 2011 and the Doctor of Science degree in 2021. He has been a top-1% Web of Science reviewer since 2022. He was awarded the "Young Scientist" (2021) by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Russia), the Moscow Government Prize for Young Scientists (2021) in the category "Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Science," and the Russian Academy of Sciences Medal with the Prize for Young Scientists (2015). He is a laureate of the contest dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the categories of "Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Technologies" (2024). He is the author of 197 scientific articles and books. His research focuses on probability-informed machine learning models based on semiparametric approaches for heterogeneous data with applications in telecommunications networks, SAR image segmentation, geophysics, and bioinformatics.
