George Tsakalidis is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Macedonia, specializing in Business Process Modeling Applications in the areas of Digital Twins, Technical Debt, and Large Language Models (LLMs). He holds a Ph.D. in Business Process Analytics (2022), an M.Sc. in Applied Informatics (2016), and a B.Sc. in Physics (2007). He has over 13 years of experience in law enforcement and is currently a Financial Crime Investigator at the Greek Ministry of Economy and Finance, focusing on intellectual property protection and cybercrime. His work includes process optimization, modeling, and the management of investigation processes. A recognized expert, he represents Greece in EUROPOL Analysis Projects and serves on the EUROPOL Platform for Experts and CEPOL expert list for areas such as financial and IPR crime. He is an academic contributor with more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and has led special issues for esteemed journals of IEEE and MDPI.
