Irena Balog is a Physicist with a PhD in Environmental and Industrial Fluid Mechanics from the University of Trieste. Since 2023, she has been a permanent researcher at ENEA, Casaccia in the Solar Thermal, Thermodynamics and Smart Network Division. Her research activities involve the estimation and forecast of solar resources using satellite images and weather forecast models, and decomposition models of solar irradiance and solar energy assessment for PV and CSP plants.
