Biography
Leony Ortiz received B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in automation engineering from Instituto Superior Politécnico Julio Antonio Mella (ISPJAM), Universidad de Oriente, Cuba, a M.Sc. degree in engineering from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Medellín, Colombia, and a Ph.D. in engineering from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. He is currently a Full Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department, Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, Quito, Ecuador. He is an active member of the Smart Grid Research GIREI Group, Ecuador.
