Dr. Irene Perea Arango is a Research Professor at the Biotechnology Research Centre of the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (UAEM), Mexico. She holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Cinvestav, Irapuato, Mexico. Her research program primarily focuses on plant tissue culture and the production of bioactive compounds in in vitro cultures. Dr. Perea Arango actively collaborates with interdisciplinary teams of scientists, with particular emphasis on developing strategies for identifying and producing secondary plant metabolites with pharmaceutical potential.
