Dr. Chee Kong Yap is Malaysian and is currently a professor at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University Putra Malaysia (UPM). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Ecotoxicology from the University of Putra, Malaysia. He has been active as an academic for more than 12 years at UPM and as a researcher for 17 years and has been involved in teaching and research since his first degree. Under his chairmanship, one Ph.D. and six MS students have successfully graduated so far from UPM. In recognition of his expertise and research capabilities, he has been awarded several research grants as principal investigator and researcher, including from the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI, Malaysia), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE, Malaysia) and University Putra, Malaysia. He has been invited to be a reviewer in various prominent impact factor journals and some non-cited journals.
