Dr. Yong-Bi Fu completed his Ph.D. in plant population genetics at the University of Toronto from 1990 to 1994, and postdoctoral research at the University of British Columbia from 1994 to 1998. Since 1998, he has been working as a research scientist at the Plant Gene Resources of Canada, Saskatoon Research and Development Centre. Dr. Fu has a broad academic interest in evolutionary biology, but more in the evolutionary conservation of plant genetic resources.
