Angelo Cagnacci is currently working as a full professor in the Department of Neurosciences, Rehabilitation, Oftalmology, Genetics, Maternal and Pediatric Sciences at Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria San Martino di Genova, Genova, Italy. He received his Ph.D. degree in Reproductive Endocrinology from the University of California San Diego in 1992. He also acts as the Chief of the Academic Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology (DINOGMI). His scientific output includes 295 publications, corresponding to 6987 citations (h-index 43) (Scopus, 12 October 2023).
