Prof. Qigen Dai is a Professor at the Yangzhou University. He completed his PhD studies in Crop Cultivation and Tillage at the China Agricultural University, and has been awarded the Second Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress, and the First and Second Prize of Provincial and Ministerial Scientific and Technological Progress. He has presided over or undertaken more than 30 national, provincial and ministerial-level projects. He serves as Head of the Jiangsu University Science and Technology Innovation Team, and Vice President of the Crops Society of Jiangsu Province. His research topics mainly include rice yield estimation, sentinel-1a, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), SAR simple difference (SSD) index, and coastal saline region.
