Taslim Ur Rashid is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his BSc and MS from the same department. He is now a PhD candidate in Fiber and Polymer Science program in the Department of Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science at North Carolina State University, USA. He represented Bangladesh in the 63rd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (2013) as a young scientist. His broad research interest focuses on industrial waste management, designing polymer nanocomposites with improved properties for wastewater treatment application, gas separation by ionic liquids, polymer rheology, and nanofiber fabrication by electrospinning.
