Dr. Ahmad Alhowail joined Qassim University, College of Pharmacy, in 2008. He received his PhD in pharmacology from Auburn University, Harrison College of Pharmacy, in 2017. Dr. Alhowail's main research interests are focused on discovering new pathways of cognitive impairment produced by chemotherapeutic drugs and developing therapies for cognitive deficiencies. His current research focuses on inflammatory cytokines and oxidative stress released in response to chemotherapy, their role in brain dysfunction, and the combination of drugs that can protect against this effect.
