Dr. Cornelia-Ioana Ilie holds the position of Senior Biochemist & Researcher at the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest, Romania. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Technological Biochemistry) and her Master's degree in "Chemistry of Drugs and Cosmetic Products" at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Bucharest. She earned her Ph.D. from the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnologies at the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest. Dr. Ilie has extensive expertise in the synthesis and physicochemical characterization of nanomaterials, the extraction and evaluation of bioactive natural compounds, the assessment of biological properties (antimicrobial, antioxidant, prebiotic, and antitumor effects), and the development of nanostructured systems and composite biomaterials for biomedical and environmental applications. She is the author of over 40 scientific articles published in peer-reviewed ISI journals and has contributed to multiple national and international research projects.
