Prof. Dr. Hyeon Tae Kim received an M.S. degree from Gyeongsang National University (GNU), the Republic of Korea, in 1993, a Ph.D. degree from Sungkyunkwan University, in 2001, and a Ph.D. degree from Kyoto University, Japan, in 2005. He is currently a professor at the Department of Biosystems Engineering, GNU. He currently works as a professor at the Department of Biosystems Engineering, Gyeongsang National University. His research interests include animal welfare and bio-metrics, precision agriculture, environment-controlled greenhouses, plant factories, and smart farming with AI. He serves as the head of the Smart Farm Systems Laboratory and has been awarded multiple times in the aforementioned fields.
