I-Ta Lee is an Associate Professor at the School of Dentistry, Taipei Medical University. He is interested in four research topics: (1) the correlation between PM2.5 and various inflammatory diseases and cancers; (2) the protective mechanisms of carbon monoxide and Chinese herbal medicine with antioxidant properties against inflammatory diseases induced by Gram-positive or Gram-negative bacteria; (3) the anticancer effects and mechanisms of Chinese herbal medicine; (4) the design, analysis, and application of nano-type Chinese herbal medicine. He has an h-Index of 38, and his papers have been cited more than 4585 times (Scopus, 31 July 2025).
