Prof. Xiuhong Li currently serves as a Professor at the Department of Maternal, Child and Ageing Health, School of Public Health (Shenzhen), Sun Yat-sen University. She received her Bachelor of Medicine degree in Preventive Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1998 and her Master of Medicine and Doctor of Medicine degrees in Child Health and Maternal and Child Health from Sun Yat-sen University in 2006 and 2011, respectively. From 2014 to 2015, she was a visiting scholar in the Department of Pediatrics at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is mainly engaged in clinical, teaching and research work in child and adolescent and women’s health care. Her main focus is on the neuropsychological mechanisms of learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, mood disorders, etc., as well as research on child growth and development and parent–child relationships.
