Shengliang Liao currently works as an Associate Researcher at the College of Forestry, Jiangxi Agricultural University. He received a Bachelor degree in Applied Chemistry, an M.Sc. in Botany at the Jiangxi Agricultural University and a Ph.D. in forest products chemical processing engineering at the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences. He is a member and secretary of the Executive Committee of the National Forestry and Grassland Woody Flavors (East China) Engineering Technology Research Center, a member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Secretary-General of the Forest Products and Chemicals Professional Committee of Jiangxi Forestry Society and a member of the Natural Products Professional Committee of the Jiangxi Society of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. His research interest is the development and utilization of plant essential oils.
