Dimitris Kalles received his diploma from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, University of Patras, Greece, in 1991, and his Ph.D. in Computation from UMIST, UK, in 1995. He works as a Professor at the Hellenic Open University and the Director of the undergraduate program “Computer Science”. He has actively participated in the design and implementation of study programs, infrastructures, and services for E-learning while at the Hellenic Open University. He also serves as a Vice Dean for the School of Science and Technology and sits on the HOU Committee for Quality Assurance. His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, and E-learning technologies.
