Prof. Dr. Nebojsa Jovanovic is an Associate Professor at the Department of Earth Sciences, University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He obtained a PhD from the University of Pretoria and an MSc from CIHEAM, Bari, Italy. He was the Editor in Chief of Agricultural Water Management (2011–2020) and a member of the Editorial Board of Water SA (2008–2011). He has over 20 years of experience in the water sector, having conducted, led, and published research in water resource management, soil, hydrological and groundwater modelling, dryland salinity, food security and drought impacts in small-holder irrigated farming systems, and applications of remote sensing in water management.
