Based on the RiemannLiouville fractional integral, a new form of generalized Simpson-type inequalities in terms of the first derivative is discussed. Here, some more inequalities for convexity as well as concavity are established. We expect that present outcomes are the generalization of already obtained results. Applications to beta, q-digamma, and Bessel functions are also provided.

The q-symmetric analogues of Hölder, Minkowski, and power mean inequalities are presented in this paper. The obtained inequalities along with a Montgomery identity involving q-symmetric integrals are used to extend some Ostrowski-type inequalities. The q-symmetric derivatives of the functions involved in these Ostrowski-type inequalities are convex or s-convex. Moreover, some Hermite–Hadamard inequalities for convex functions as well as for s-convex functions are also acquired with the help of q-symmetric calculus in the present work. Some examples are included to support the effectiveness of the proved results.
In 2003, Mercer presented an interesting variation of Jensen’s inequality called Jensen–Mercer inequality for convex function. In the present paper, by employing harmonically convex function, we introduce analogous versions of Hermite–Hadamard inequalities of the Jensen–Mercer type via fractional integrals. As a result, we introduce several related fractional inequalities connected with the right and left differences of obtained new inequalities for differentiable harmonically convex mappings. As an application viewpoint, new estimates regarding hypergeometric functions and special means of real numbers are exemplified to determine the pertinence and validity of the suggested scheme. Our results presented here provide extensions of others given in the literature. The results proved in this paper may stimulate further research in this fascinating area.

Jensen’s inequality is important for obtaining inequalities for divergence between probability distribution. By applying a refinement of Jensen’s inequality (Horváth et al. in Math. Inequal. Appl. 14:777–791, 2011) and introducing a new functional based on an f-divergence functional, we obtain some estimates for the new functionals, the f-divergence, and Rényi divergence. Some inequalities for Rényi and Shannon estimates are constructed. The Zipf–Mandelbrot law is used to illustrate the result. In addition, we generalize the refinement of Jensen’s inequality and new inequalities of Rényi Shannon entropies for an m-convex function using the Montgomery identity. It is also given that the maximization of Shannon entropy is a transition from the Zipf–Mandelbrot law to a hybrid Zipf–Mandelbrot law.

In the present study, fractional variants of Hermite–Hadamard, Hermite–Hadamard–Fejér, and Pachpatte inequalities are studied by employing Mercer concept. Firstly, new Hermite–Hadamard–Mercer-type inequalities are presented for harmonically convex functions involving fractional integral operators with exponential kernel. Then, weighted Hadamard–Fejér–Mercer-type inequalities involving exponential function as kernel are proved. Finally, Pachpatte–Mercer-type inequalities for products of harmonically convex functions via fractional integral operators with exponential kernel are constructed.
