I have a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Pelotas (2006) with a certificate of merit. I have a Master's Degree in Agricultural and Environmental Microbiology (PPGMAA) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS, 2009). I have finished my doctorate in the Graduate Program of Veterinary Sciences at the UFRGS (2012). I was a postdoctoral researcher and Collaborating Professor at the UFRGS (2013-2015). I was Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Brasília (2016-2017) and I was a Professor in the Bioprocess and Biotechnology Engineering Course at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) (2018-2022). I am currently an Adjunct Professor at UFRGS, a Permanent Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Biotechnology at the UFT, and a Coordinator of PPGMAA/UFRGS. I was a second treasurer (2019-2020) and a member of the fiscal council of the Brazilian Society of Virology (2021-2022). I served as a guest editor for the journals Viruses (MDPI) and Frontiers in Virology and have reviewed articles for more than 60 national and international journals. I am a CNPq Research Productivity Scholarship - Level 2. I have experience in Virology, Microbiology, and Bioinformatics.
