Diana C. G. A. Pinto is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal. Prof. Pinto obtained a B.Sc. degree in Analytical Chemistry (1991) and earned a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry (1996) at the University of Aveiro. Prof. Pinto's research interests include (1) Organic chemistry/synthesis and characterization of new bioactive compounds, with particular emphasis on the oxygenated and nitrogenous heterocyclic compounds; (2) Sustainable chemistry/Biotransformations/application of efficient catalytic systems (organocatálise, heterogeneous catalysis and biocatalysis); (3) Natural products/isolation and characterization of secondary metabolites, assessment of its activities, chemical transformation and total synthesis.
