Meenakshisundaram Kandhavelu is a Principal Investigator, Head of the Molecular Signaling Group and University Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology, Tampere University. His research group focuses on discovering and exploring cancer drug targets through molecular signal processing. His primary research interest lies in identifying and characterizing novel pharmacological agonists and antagonists of receptors and evaluating their potential for treating human cancers. To achieve these goals, he integrates both experimental and computational approaches. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed scientific articles and contributed to more than 60 presentations at international and national symposia. He is a member of the Biochemical Society and the Finnish Biochemical, Biophysical, and Microbiological Society (Societas). He also serves as a reviewer for several international scientific journals and Funding agencies.
