Jaroslav Legemza is a professor in the Department of Metallurgy and Foundry, Institute of Metallurgy, Faculty of Metallurgy, Technical University of Košice, Slovak Republic. His research interests include the agglomeration process, the blast furnace process, the production of steel in EAF, ferroalloys production (mainly FeSi, FeMn, and FeSiMn), the processing of secondary materials from pig iron, steel and ferroalloys production, thermodynamic analysis, the realisation of mass–heating balances, the realisation of experimental works within the scope of high-temperature reactors, and the analysis of raw materials (mainly Fe and Mn ores, quartzes, and quartzites) and products of high-temperature processes.
